Alpaca Ranch Tours
We offer FREE Ranch Tours May through October, with exact dates varying depending on weather. For exact dates, weather cancellations, and general updates, please check our Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok accounts (All under Blue Alpaca Ranch). The ranch is located at 18 Poors Mill Rd, Belfast Maine, and we are open for tours Thursdays-Sundays 10am-4pm. You do not need to make an appointment for a tour, though a heads up is appreciated, you just show up (unless you have specific needs or have a large group, please see below for details).
Tours are roughly 15-20 minutes long, and give visitors the opportunity to enter the alpaca enclosures with a ranch worker, allowing you to meet, pet and possibly feed these wonderful animals while your tour guide introduces the alpacas and their unique characteristics to you. These tours include time for questions, answers, selfies and photo opportunities, as well as a visit to the mini ranch store on the property. We welcome all ages and abilities to the ranch, we just ask that children under 12 are always accompanied by an adult, and all pets are kept in a vehicle in the parking lot. This is an active ranch, so closed toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing is recommended but not necessary, and we recommend wearing bug spray and sunscreen as needed.

For large groups over 6 people, we ask that you give us a call ahead of your tour, so we can give your group the best experience possible with as many ranch workers as needed.
Since we offer these ranch tours for free, donations are always accepted and appreciated, we accept cash, credit, tap to pay, or Venmo while you are here, we also accept donations through our store website (under Shop Now!). We can't wait for you to meet our herd!
Alpaca Walks!! Now Open for 2026 Season
 Join us on a half hour guided tour exploring the Ranch grounds while you each lead one of our beautiful alpacas. After a brief introduction to your alpaca walking companion and instruction on how to safely handle them, your guide will begin this relaxing & exciting adventure! Walkers should be sure to wear appropriate footwear for all terrains as well as weather appropriate clothing. Also be sure to have plenty of space on your phone for photos and selfies! We will stop along the way for photo opportunities with your new friend as well as a chance to feed them some treats! Make your family time extra special and book your adventure today!
The fee for alpaca walks is $30 per person and may be available same day, depending on prior appointments and availability. Please contact us directly via phone to book same day. Otherwise, Walk Appointments must be booked at least a day in advance (book at the bottom of page). There is a maximum of 6 people per walk (slightly larger groups should contact us directly before booking). Children 12 and older may walk their own alpaca, children under 12 can accompany their parents on the walk but not with their own alpaca (they will still be able to feed treats and interact with the alpaca). If you have a child under 12 accompanying you than you only need to buy a ticket for the adult walking the alpaca not for the child (under 12). However anyone 12 years and older will need to buy a ticket to come along on the walk. Walks may be rescheduled to the next available time slot due to extreme weather in order to keep our alpacas, staff and customers safe. We ask that if you need to reschedule (1 days in advance) or Cancel (3 days in advance) you follow listed guidelines. No refunds will be given for last minute cancellations or no shows by the customer. To ensure availability of your preferred day/time book your walk in advance.
